Model Kate Moss and Arcadia owner Sir Philip Green were met by a scrum of shoppers last night, as Moss unveiled her final womenswear collection for Topshop at its flagship store in London’s Oxford Circus.

Green and Moss toured the Kate Moss for Topshop shop-in-shop on the lower ground floor together, picking out items as if they were shopping.

The 97-piece collection included key pieces from previous ranges, including a red poppy print dress and a panther claw dress from the Iconic collection, and a black embroidered kimono dress and a crochet lace hippy dress from her AW10 collection. All four items were bestsellers last night, as shoppers grabbed product by the fistful.

Green said he would continue to work with Moss. “I’m not going anywhere and neither is she,” he said. “This collection still works, and our relationship hasn’t ended. But we now need to go away for a while, and think about how to do things differently. This collection takes a lot of hard work — she wants to do other things and so do I — but our relationship is as strong as ever.”

Moss’ final collection officially launched online and in all Topshop stores worldwide today, but was available at the Oxford Circus flagship from 7pm last night. Six key pieces were also available online as part of Vogue’s Fashion Night In.

Shoppers spending more than £60 received a poster of Moss, some of which were signed by the model, and Topshop is running a competition for “one lucky Kate fan” to win the custom-made black lurex jumpsuit she wore last night. The jumpsuit featured art deco tulip detailing on the neckline and was produced by Topshop.
