Lanvin’s much-anticipated collection for high street retailer H&M launched at 9am today with hoardes of shoppers queuing to get their hands on the coveted items.

The Lanvin for H&M collection, which was designed in collaboration with Lanvin’s artistic director Alber Elbaz, ranges in price from £7.99 for a lipstick to £199.99 for a black sateen coat with jewelled buttons and detachable fur collar.

Cocktail dresses retail at between £79.99 and £149.99.

The collaboration also includes menswear, designed by Lucas Ossendrijver, featuring ribbon trim blazers, classic lace-up shoes in four colour ways, tailored shirts, coats and bow ties.

The collection has gone on sale in both H&M stores and online at h&m.com.

According to tweets and those at the event, the collection sold out within minutes online and in stores.
