Retailer 'pleased with performance'
Like-for-like sales at sofa retailer ScS have increased 1 per cent for the year to September 30 and overall sales have also risen.

The company said that trading this year had been 'difficult', but that it was 'pleased with this performance' because the growth in sales had been achieved 'despite strong comparables last year'.

SCS will report its preliminary annual results on November 21.

Panmure Gordon analyst Christian Koefoed-Nielsen said the performance was 'solid' in a volatile market and that ScS 'has scope to improve margins through more efficient logistics and more effective marketing campaigns as scale builds'.
