Sainsbury's unveils first dual-branded Bells outlet

Sainsbury's has unveiled the first dual-branded Bells outlet, following its acquisition of the northern c-store business two months ago. The 2,200 sq ft (205 sq m) shop at Peterlee, County Durham - a converted Bells with a new design - opened last week. It will be followed by a second outlet at Bishopsgarth, Stockton-on-Tees, later this month. Sainsbury's has added 500 own-label products across chilled, fresh food and grocery categories, and has cut prices on hundreds of products. Chief executive Justin King said: 'This is an important step in developing our presence in the c-store sector.'
