Sainsbury’s chief executive Justin King has let four shopfloor staff loose in the grocer’s boardroom for a new Channel 4 TV programme called I’m Running Sainsbury’s, which starts next Tuesday at 9pm.

The show features four members of Sainsbury’s staff implementing their ideas for the business or taking up a position of power to make a difference, with cameras following their every move along the way.

Each programme concentrates on one member of staff. The four taking part are 21-year-old Watford worker Becky Craze, who, as store trainer, staffs tills and stacks shelves; 55-year-old Barbara Bentley, who is PA announcer in the Leeds store; 27-year-old Enfield checkout manager Niall Dobson; and 25-year-old Derby supervisor Joseph Showler.
