Healthy eating is part of the brand
Supermarket chain Sainsbury's is aiming to educate its entire workforce about healthy eating.

The nutritional training is designed to inform staff about the how to make healthier, more nutritionally sound choices for themselves and families, as well as giving them a better understanding of the supermarket's approach to health. Ultimately, the programme is designed to improve the customer experience in store.

A team of food advisors will be sent to work in 50 stores initially, but the scheme will later be rolled-out to the whole organisation, with senior directors receiving training.

Sainsbury's head of brand Judith Batchelar said: 'Every one of our colleagues is an ambassador for the company and our commitment to providing each of them with nutritional training will help increase awareness, knowledge and understanding, so that collectively we can serve the needs of our countries better.'
