RW awards shortlist announced

A raft of leading retailers has been shortlisted for the Retail Week Awards 2003. The awards, sponsored by Kurt Salmon Associates, will be presented on March 3. They are:

- Asda, Selfridges and Nectar for In-store Promotion

- Harvey Nichols (Edinburgh), Waitrose (Canary Wharf) and Sainsbury's (Hazel Grove) for Store Design

- Peter Harrison (Dixons), Coral Douglas (Sainsbury's), Stuart Cavallero (M&S) and Patricia Agnew (TK Maxx) for Large Store Manager

- Paula Bevan (ELC), Mark Reilly (Moss Bros) and Kelvin Reddicliffe (Timpson) for Small Store Manager

- Dixons XL, Sainsbury's Hazel Grove and Daimler Chrysler for Launch of the Year

- Argos, Nectar and Phones 4U for Marketing Campaign

- Argos, Carphone Warehouse and Comet for Multi-Channel Retailer

- Argos, Asda and Sainsbury's for Retail Technology

- Majestic Wine, Timpson and Asda for Employer of the Year

- Asda, Carphone Warehouse and Vodaphone for Customer Service Initiative

- Coast, Garden and Leisure Group and Swarovski for Rising Star

The top award, Retailer of the Year, is to be announced on the night without shortlisting.
