Remuneration package up 8.8 per cent
Marks & Spencer chief executive Stuart Rose has benefited from the retailer's rising fortunes over the last year with a remuneration package worth£2.3 million, up 8.8 per cent from the£2.1 million he received last year. Rose's package includes a£1.23 million bonus.

In the retailer's annual report released today, details were also given of sharp increases in the packages provided for finance director Ian Dyson and marketing director Steven Sharp. Both received 13 per cent pay rises, effective from the beginning of January this year, as their salaries climbed from£420,000 to£475,000.
