River Island has picked eight head office staff to feature in its latest online marketing campaign.

The young fashion retailer auditioned 56 of its staff to appear on its main web site and a micro-site called Style Insider. The winning eight members are featured updating customers on events and trends via blogs and vodcasts. The retailer said the campaign could be rolled out to other channels including stores if it is successful.

Chief executive Richard Bradbury said: “We are proud to celebrate the launch of Style Insider. Our customers are the heart of the brand’s success and we are confident that it will help them feel closer to the brand.”
