Third high street collapse this month
Ceramic tile chain Right Price Tiles has gone into administration following dwindling sales - only a year after its first collapse - and Deloitte has been appointed as administrator.

Right Price has 53 stores, employs 300 staff and generated turnover of£21 million in its last financial year.

Deloitte administrator Robin Allen said: 'We are continuing to trade the business and are seeking interested parties to acquire it and its assets as a going concern.'

The company's UK stores were formerly known as Tiles R Us, until January 2006 when it was bought out of administration by Irish parent group Railway Tile Store and subsequently rebranded.

Right Price Tiles is the third big high street retailer to go into administration this month, along with CD retailer Music Zone and Greeting Card Group, which traded under the brands Cardfair and Card Warehouse.

Right Price Tiles' Irish operations are not likely to be affected by the chain's collapse.
