Retail Week has announced the launch of the Retail Week Technology Awards, a new event to be held next June.
The event represents the relaunch of the European Retail Solutions Awards and will recognise retailers that display excellence and innovation in their deployment of technology in order to make substantial improvements within their businesses.
Categories will include internet technology, EPoS initiative, customer technology, multichannel integration, loss prevention and IT team of the year.
A full announcement on the categories will be made in the new year, when entry deadlines will be put in place, category criteria will be explained and a judging panel will be announced.
The ceremony will take place on June 16, 2009, in London at the Hilton on Park Lane.
