Retail solutions - Poundstretcher invests in till queue controls

Value retailer Poundstretcher has invested in a queue management system from Tensator. The solution, which will be installed in the retailer's 338 stores, informs customers waiting to be served by voice which tills are available.

Poundstretcher purchasing manager Hayley Lewis said: 'The eQ call-forward system has helped us to serve customers in a quick and fair manner, keeping customer satisfaction levels at an all-time high.'

The system is a fully programmable Windows-based package, with both male and female voice samples in a choice of regional accents, and can also be used to stream customer information such as promotions.
