Fast food chain McDonald's is rolling out an innovative kiosk-based system that has already been implemented successfully at its Paris restaurants.
The system, developed by Romanian company Kepler, runs on a Wincor-Nixdorf kiosk platform and provides customers with a self-service ordering and payment facility.
Customers are able to select and pay for orders at the kiosks before collecting their selection at the till point. 'McDonald's in Paris was losing customers at peak times because of the queues,' said Kepler project manager Florin Haszler. 'Using a kiosk has solved this problem.'
