Retail Solutions - Links of London chooses KPOS to upgrade its tills

Jewellers Links of London has bought a point of sale system from KPOS.

The terminals will provide store managers with up-to-date sales information, including live data on Web and mail order sales, at Links' 16 UK stores and three concessions.

A link to the stores' footfall monitors will give managers real-time data on customer conversion. The system will also handle price management, stock control and automated store replenishment.

A Nippon Denso hand-held computer will be used to handle stocktaking.

KPOS is developing a real-time sales monitor to display sales data from around the world. The system will run on 500 IBM SurePoS point of sale computers in Links' UK and US stores. Concessions will access the system from laptops.

KPOS installed the system and provided consultancy support and bespoke software development.

Links of London merchandising and logistics director Tim Hort said: 'It is essential that we can offer the highest levels of service to our customers at the point of sale.

'KPOS provides us with a solution based upon industry-standard hardware and software enhanced with a specially tailored CRM solution at the till point.'
