Birmingham's Bullring centre has signed infrastructure specialist Comgenic, a joint venture between Meadowhall and PoulterNet, to provide market content management software and consultancy. The deal is thought to be worth more than£500,000.
According to Comgenic, this is the first contract it has won outside its shopping centre parent company.
The principal application is an intranet used by the Bullring to distribute footfall, sales, traffic and weather information to stores within the centre.
Bullring project manager Bill Ives said Comgenic was chosen because it 'had a can-do attitude'.
