DTZ Debenham Tie Leung and CB Hamilton Osborne King have won the lettings instruction for the 35,395 sq m Mahon Point Shopping Centre in Cork.
Ireland-based O'Callaghan Properties, backed by German property fund Deka Immobilien Investment, plans to redevelop the entire Mahon Point Peninsula in one of Ireland's largest-ever mixed-use developments.
The shopping centre itself, which forms a key part of the site, will be anchored by a 7,000 sq m fashion store and 5,000 sq m food store, alongside almost 50 shops, kiosks and banks, a foodcourt and 11-screen multiplex.
Work is likely to begin on site shortly with a target opening date of February 2005.
