Retail Property - Record leisure scheme opens in Cambridge

Turnstone Estates has opened its 122,000 sq ft (11,335 sq m) Cambridge Leisure mixed-use project, making it the city's largest-ever leisure scheme.

The anchor tenant is a nine-screen Cineworld, with more than 1,700 seats. Other occupiers include Tenpin, Pizza Hut, Frankie & Benny's, Subway, Choices, LA Fitness and a 120-room Travelodge.

There are a limited number of restaurant and bar units available in the main leisure building, ranging from 1,900 sq ft to 15,000 sq ft (175 sq m to 1,395 sq m).

Turnstone Estates managing director Chris Goldsmith said: 'We are in negotiations with several restaurant and bar operators, and hope to have deals to announce very soon.'

Januarys Commercial is the scheme's letting agent.
