Retail Property - Prudential signs three for Hemel Hempstead site

Prudential Property Investment Managers has completed three new lettings on the Marlowes in Hemel Hempstead, with 02, Edge and Gamestation signing up for the retail pitch.

At 224 Marlowes, 02 has taken a 15-year lease on a 1,190 sq ft (110 sq m) unit at£45,000 a year, with a three-month rent-free period.

Nearby, Londis has surrendered its interest at 236/238 Marlowes, allowing branded fashion retailer Edge to relocate from 222 Marlowes; doubling its floorspace to 2,500 sq ft (230 sq m). Edge is taking a 15-year lease at£68,500 a year, with a short rent-free period.

The existing 1,050 sq ft (95 sq m) Edge unit at 222 Marlowes was surrendered to the landlord and re-let to Gamestation on a 15-year lease at a starting rent of£40,000 a year.
