Retail Property - Larrik teams up with Wimpey for Brighton project

Larrik Property, part of the Oracle Group, has agreed a joint venture with George Wimpey for its£30 million mixed-use regeneration scheme on Jubilee Street in Brighton's North Laines district.

Wimpey will build three blocks comprising a total of 58 residential units, and nine retail/restaurant units totalling 18,835 sq ft (1,750 sq m).

On completion, George Wimpey will take a long leasehold interest of the residential upper floors.

At the same time, a block providing two further retail units totalling 14,860 sq ft (1,380 sq m) and two floors of offices totalling 15,000 sq ft (1,395 sq m) will be developed by Larrik.

The Jubilee Street development forms part of a larger PFI scheme that will include a new town square, public library and a 94-bedroom MyHotel boutique hotel. Blair Kirkman is the letting agent.
