Retail Property - Centrale mall in Croydon gets fashion line-up

St Martins Property Group has signed a further batch of lettings for its Centrale shopping centre in Croydon, ahead of its opening at the end of March.

Centrale will be home to the UK's second Build-A-Bear Workshop, since its launch in the country at Meadowhall in November last year. A letting agreement has been signed for a 2,670 sq ft (250 sq m) unit.

Jane Norman occupies a 2,045 sq ft (190 sq m) store on the lower mall level, where the leasing has focused on international fashion retailers.

Sony Galleria is taking a 4,070 sq ft (380 sq m) store, and Egoshego Shoes a 1,575 sq ft (145 sq m) outlet.

St Martins Property Group development director Lindsey Robinson said: 'The fashion line-up at Centrale is really building up momentum, with Zara, Mango, Elle, Next and now Jane Norman. We go into 2004 with 82 per cent of the floorspace let, and an additional 10 retailers in solicitors' hands.'

Joint letting agents for Centrale are CB Richard Ellis and Cushman & Wakefield Healey & Baker.
