The articles above articulate all too well what is wrong with the current and previous management of Black's Leisure. They are not retailers, they are not focussed on their core Outdoor business and they have, jointly, destroyed what was, 4 years ago, a very healthy and successful business. The business needs retailers that understand the core OUTDOOR business that is Millets and Black's. When and only when they have that business back on an even keel should they even think about the distraction of trials and new formats. In the meantime Go Outdoors is eating their lunch big time because they are not doing the right things. The article above suggests that some of the Directors go on a long walk I advocate that they all go. They have had long enough and have made enough mistakes both operationally and in their executive appointments.
