This really beggars belief. Having burnt their fingers in one flash in the pan category they leap straight in the embers of another!

What's wrong with just providing good outdoor kit for a growing market sector? Outdoor pursuits and staycations are markets they should be focussing on, rather than trying to become the JJB of the outdoor world.

Rival formats at both ends of the category such as Go Outdoors and Ellis and Brigham continue to flourish and expand, yet Blacks seems intent on burying itself under another pile of overpriced and probably underspecified specialist gear whilst spreading themselves ever thinner under ever more diffused fascias.

Do some of their directors possibly need to take advantage of their products and take a long walk?
