It was obvious to everyone in the trade that neither brother would be able to add any real value to Asda and it’s a surprise that both did not exit at the same time .

Sir Stuart Rose clearly has the backing of the majority shareholder and wants to get on an appoint a CEO which is critical for this business to complete as soon as possible .

No top CEO would accept the retention of Mohshin .
