Hilco are without doubt the most difficult organisation to buy anything from and as Chris Dawson is used to paying bottom dollar prices for anything I can’t see those 2 coming close to a deal to buy all of the Homebase stores.

Much more likely that the Range would take circa the bottom 50 stores at a negligible price to allow a B&M to over pay for the more profitable stores but even then either are a direct competitor so reliance on Homebase sales and profits only make sense to the Range who can incorporate the best of Homebase with an injection of Range products.
