The issue is that most landlords have next to no relationship with any retailers and leave it to agents.

The many managing agents in the U.K. are completely hopeless to deal with and have no understanding of the market at all.

It’s time for landlords to bring the management of its assets in house and ditch managing agents who continue to behave in an adversarial fashion with short term objectives and massive service charges .
