Accessorize and The Body Shop head up a clutch of new retailers that have penned deals to join The Broadway shopping centre in Bradford.

The womenswear accessories retailer and the cosmetics specialist have both secured units at the scheme, which is due to open in less than a month.

Arts and crafts chain The Works, German shoe retailer Deichmann and independent greetings card store Occasions have also signed up to Westfield’s 570,000 sq ft scheme.

The Broadway, which is jointly anchored by Debenhams and Marks & Spencer, has already attracted a host of retailers including H&M, Next, New Look, Topshop, River Island and JD.

Westfield director of leasing Keith Mabbett said: “These new names mean that more than 80% of the retail space is committed and continue to show how The Broadway is attracting new retailers to Bradford city centre.”

The Broadway, which opens to the public on Thursday November 5, is one of four large retail developments launching in 2015 – the most in any one year since the recession.

Grand Central Birmingham was the first to throw open its doors in September, while Friars Walk in Newport and Flemingate in Beverley will also welcome their first shoppers by the end of November.

Retail Week went behind the scenes during the construction of all four shopping centres in our documentary web series, Four Sites.
