Property news - Thistle Brewery project

Planning proposals have been submitted for the redevelopment of the former Maclay Thistle Brewery in Alloa, Scotland, with 24,000 sq ft (2,230 sq m) of retail space and 30 residential units. The site has been sold to Glasgow-based Palisade Properties Plc for£350,000, subject to planning consent. Argos has agreed terms to take 9,000 sq ft (835 sq m) within the scheme, and detailed negotiations are under way with Ochil View Housing Association for a sale of the residential element of the scheme for affordable housing.
