Property news - Retail launched at Manchester's Edge project

Countryside Properties has launched the retail element of The Edge, its£75 million mixed-use waterside development in Manchester City Centre.

The developer is creating 8,335 sq ft (775 sq m) of restaurant, bar and retail space on two levels at the foot of the 20-storey landmark building.

The units overlook the River Irwell, with frontages onto Blackfriars Road in the fast-improving Chapel Street regeneration area.

Countryside Properties senior development surveyor Phil Sutton said: 'With Harvey Nichols and Heals now open to enhance the retail attractions of this part of the city, we already have good pre-launch interest.'

Blair Kirkman is joint letting agent with Edwards & Co for the restaurant, bar and retail section of the development.
