Property News - New Look added to Broad Street mix

New Look, Footlocker and Fragrance Shop are the latest retailers to take units at the newly refurbished 400,000 sq ft (37,160 sq m) Broad Street Mall at Reading.

New Look is paying£182,500 a year for a 15-year lease on a new 12,000 sq ft (1,115 sq m) two-level unit next to Argos. Footlocker is occupying a 3,185 sq ft (295 sq m) unit at the front of the centre on a 15-year lease at£110,000 a year, while Fragrance Shop has taken a 306 sq ft (28 sq m) unit on a 10-year lease at£30,000 a year.

Landlord Doughty Hanson recently spent£6 million refurbishing the mall, including building a catering area. Since completion, footfall has increased by 25 per cent.
