Property news - Matalan in Scarborough

Hampton Brook Developments has started construction of a Matalan superstore store on Scarborough's St Thomas Street. The retailer has agreed a pre-letting of the 34,425 sq ft (3,200 sq m) purpose-built property on a 25-year lease at a commencing rent equating to£12.50 per sq ft (£135 per sq m). Completion is scheduled for early next year. The store will be one of the first Matalan town centre branches.
