Property News - Liffey Valley adds two

Two retailers have signed up for the 450,000 sq ft (41,805 sq m) Liffey Valley Shopping Centre in Dublin. Ernest Jones has taken Unit 40 at EUR330,000 (£232,330) a year. Units 26 and 27, formerly occupied by Warner Bros Studio Stores, have been reconfigured and re-let. Warner Bros has taken back Unit 26 at EUR258,000 (£181,627) a year and Office has taken Unit 27 at EUR270,000 (£190,074) a year.

Strutt & Parker and Hamilton Osborne King advised the owners, Morley Fund Management and Grosvenor Limited. Whitelaw Baikie Figes advised both Warner Bros and Office.

Yacht win for Portsmouth Portsmouth has been chosen as the start and finish port for the Global Challenge 2004/5 round-the-world yacht race.

The 12 race yachts - each measuring 72 ft (22m) - will be berthed at Gunwharf Quays Marina for the start and finish of the fourth Global Challenge. Portsmouth is already set to host 2004's national D-Day 60th anniversary celebrations and the International Festival of the Sea.
