Fashion retailer Kurt Muller is the latest to open at Grosvenor's Festival Place in Basingstoke, bringing the number of arrivals to the scheme to 30 in the past year.
According to Grosvenor senior asset manager Clare Juniper, another eight lettings are in solicitors' hands. Other recent arrivals include The Pier, Allsports and Game.
Juniper said that a number of opportunities had arisen because of lease renewals in the older part of the centre. Some retailers had decided to relocate to the new extension, where larger units are available. For example, Ottakar's has been able to treble its trading space by moving within the scheme.
However, Marks & Spencer's plan to extend and totally refurbish its anchor store will give a new impetus to the older part of Festival Place.
Juniper said she was also pleasantly surprised by the success of the Festival Square catering area. Wagamama is also about to open a noodle restaurant there.
