Fashion brand to enter China next year
Profits at Swedish fashion chain H&M were up 11 per cent for the half-year to May 31, totalling SEK6.6 million (£491,825).

Sales rose 14 per cent across the group and 10 per cent taking comparable exchange rates into account.

The group is set to enter the Chinese market next year, with outlets opening in Shanghai and Hong Kong. There are also plans to increase both women's and men's shoe ranges across 200 stores next spring.

The clothing retailer said it would be revealing plans shortly to launch a store chain for men and women under a separate brand name.

H&M has 1,239 stores in 22 countries.
