Uniqlo parent Fast Retailing has instructed agent Harper Dennis Hobbs to search for sites in the UK for its lingerie brand Princesse Tam.Tam.

Princesse Tam.Tam, which is managed by holding company FR France on behalf of Japanese retailer Fast Retailing, is searching for stores of 600 sq ft (55 sq m) in London.

Harper Dennis Hobbs director James Ebel said he is on the hunt for sites on the King’s Road, South Molton Street, Westbourne Grove, Regent Street, Covent Garden and at the soon-to-launch Westfield London.

“Princesse Tam.Tam wants to open between four and five stores by next autumn, so we want to get some stores signed early next year,” said Ebel.

Fast Retailing chairman and chief executive Tadashi Yanai said the decision to bring Princesse Tam.Tam to the UK follows the success of its Comptoir des Cotonniers brand.

Fast Retailing also wants to find UK sites for sister brand Theory and earlier this month opened a flagship store on London’s Oxford Street for fashion brand Uniqlo.

“London is a showcase for the world and we are looking forward to having not only Uniqlo, but all our companies opening and becoming successful here in the UK,” said Yanai.

Princesse Tam.Tam was set up in 2005 and has 107 stores in France. Harper Dennis Hobbs also works with Fast Retailing on its Uniqlo acquisitions in the UK.
