Pets at Home (Pets), which has a 24% share of the £7.2bn UK pet care market, is ramping up its focus on providing a seamless experience for customers both in-store and online with the imminent launch of its integrated platform. Pets’ medium-term vision of being the “world’s best pet care platform” includes an app and website allowing customers to move frictionlessly between products, services and advice, giving them little reason to leave the retailer’s expanding ecosystem.

Group revenue in the year to 30 March 2023 (FY2022) increased by 6.6% to £1.4bn – £1.28bn (+5.9%) of which was generated by retail (including non-veterinary services) and the remaining £122.8m (+13.3%) from its veterinary business. The retailer hailed FY2022 as a year of record sales and customer acquisition.
