Peter Jones swaps high street for high fashion

Peter Jones swapped high street for high fashion this week by devoting the windows of the John Lewis-owned Chelsea store to a series of outfits inspired by its design archive. As part of its 75th anniversary celebrations, the retailer invited nine British designers, including Peter Jensen and Rafael Lopez, to create outfits to capture a decade. Top model Erin O'Connor (pictured second left) models Jensen's take on the 1960s. The outfits were to be showcased for the duration of London Fashion Week and auctioned on eBay, with proceeds going to The Prince's Trust. Peter Jones also hosted Lopez's catwalk show on Tuesday evening. Lopez won the retailer's inaugural fashion development award and receives£45,000 of business support.
