Specialist retailer Topps Tiles has appointed Stephen Hopson as its chief financial officer.
Hopson, who will join Topps Tiles at the start of November, is currently director of central finance, Western Europe, at drinks giant Molson Coors.
Previously he was formerly director of finance at BSS and has held a variety of senior finance roles at Travis Perkins and pubs group Mitchells & Butlers.
Topps Tiles chief executive Rob Parker said: “Stephen is an experienced financial professional, with a strong track record across both consumer and trade markets, including investor relations. We are looking forward to welcoming him to the business in the autumn.”
Hopson joins as trading at Topps Tiles improves despite the impact of the pandemic and resulting uncertainty about prospects.
The retailer reported last month that it expected to make a “modest” profit this year following an improvement in trading as sales advanced 13% in the six weeks to August 8. Like-for-like retail revenues were up 16% year-on-year.
