Mark Peaker has been appointed as Superdrug’s new supply chain director

Mark Peaker, previously Superdrug’s head of commercial finance, will take on the role to oversee supply chain operations across both health and beauty retailers.

The group said he will focus on “strengthening the foundations of the network to better support demand both online and in-store” and drive future growth.

Peaker was previously head of commercial finance at Superdrug and led teams responsible for several key commercial finance functions while supporting prominent operational and supply chain projects. This included the change of website fulfilment from distribution centres to stores for a more agile and fast model.

Before this, he was the head of finance transformation at the John Lewis Partnership, where we worked on tasks focusing on operational efficiency, productivity and investments in technology infrastructure.

Peaker said: “I’m delighted to step into the role of supply chain director for Superdrug and Savers. Having already spent time working closely with teams across the business, I’ve seen first-hand the scale of ambition and the opportunity ahead as we continue to grow both brands.

“My focus is on building a supply chain that is efficient, resilient and capable of driving the next phase of growth. That means ensuring we have the right people, processes and technology in place, so our operations run smoothly and at pace, enabling the business to scale with confidence and deliver for customers across every channel.”

Superdrug chief executive and director of AS Watson health and beauty UK Peter Macnab added: “Mark has already made a significant contribution since joining Superdrug, bringing a strong strategic mindset and analytical rigour to several important operational projects.

“Supply chain is a key part of our business, underpinning everything from store availability to our ability to support continued growth. It plays a critical role in ensuring we deliver a consistent, quality experience for our customers, wherever and however they choose to shop with us. Mark’s combination of commercial expertise and operational insight makes him exceptionally well placed to lead this function as we continue to strengthen and develop our supply chain operations across both Superdrug and Savers.”
