Sainsbury’s has promoted internally to fill its newly created chief transformation officer role as part of a wider shake-up of its commercial food team.
The grocer has promoted former fresh food business unit director Graham Biggart to the newly created role, which it said will “accelerate Sainsbury’s customer transformation, in addition to its plan to save money and invest in innovation, quality and price, and put food firmly back at the heart” of the business.
Biggart will also join Sainsbury’s operating board in March 2022 and will be responsible for “all key transformation programmes across Sainsbury’s, Argos, Habitat and Tu in addition to supply chain and logistics”.
