Missguided’s chief digital officer Jonathan Wall has been appointed as UK general manager at home security business Simplisafe.

Wall stepped down from the fashion retailer at the end of last month following the completion of an annual contract that was extended until the end of 2018.

In his new role, Wall will spearhead the US home security business’ UK expansion.

Wall told Retail Week: ”After an exciting challenge at Missguided, helping them take the next steps on their journey of growth, I’m equally excited about the opportunities helping Simplisafe launch in the UK in 2019. As one of the leaders in the US for home security, it will be great to be a part of its launch and growth in the UK.”

Although there will not be a direct replacement for Wall’s role at Missguided, the fashion retailer has snapped up specialist retailer Dawsons Music’s head of ecommerce Nicola Tibbs as its new head of digital.

Tibbs has been at Dawsons Music for six years, prior to which she was head of ecommerce at Findel subsidiary Confetti Network.

In her new role, Tibbs will be tasked with much of the remit of Missguided’s former ecommerce director Mark Leach, who left the business in July.
