Michael Gove was on hand at Highgate School last week for the unveiling of Arcadia tycoon Sir Philip Green’s work experience scheme and it turned out the education secretary has more in common with retail than you might think.
His first job was as a Saturday boy at the BHS branch in Aberdeen. He loved the sales techniques he picked up there, which no doubt he’s put to good use in the corridors of power.
