Fashion retailer Hobbs is to feature in a new BBC series called Working Girl, where creative director Sandy Verdon mentors a work-shy young apprentice in the world of fashion and retail.

Starting on February 28, in each episode two girls will be teamed with two successful self-made business women. They will be put to work over an eight-day period.

Verdon established the Hobbs and NW3 brands. She said: “Supporting education in fashion through the involvement of Working Girls has given me an opportunity to showcase the variety of careers there are in fashion retailing. If you are prepared to work hard, show versatility and be a team player then, as well as any financial rewards, you will feel a sense of achievement and self-esteem.”
