HMV’s finance director David Wolffe is set to leave the entertainment retailer.

The move comes just days after chief executive Simon Fox announced his departure from the business after six years at the top. He is set to be replaced by former Jessops chief executive Trevor Moore, who starts on September 3.

Wolffe resigns after 18 months at the company.

Confirming the departure, HMV said in a note to the city: “David will remain with the company until a successor is appointed to ensure a smooth handover.”
