Cocosa managing director Andrew Robb has stepped down from the invitation-only luxury fashion etailer to join Farfetch, a website that pulls together independent retail businesses, as chief operating officer.

He takes over his new role next week. Bauer Media-owned Cocosa has already kicked off the search for a replacement.

Bauer chief executive Paul Keenan said it was talking to people with a strong retail and entrepreneurial background.

Robb, who had been in the role for two years, led the 2008 launch of Cocosa, which offers its 250,000 members access to about 25 private luxury brand sales every month.
