Carphone Warehouse has promoted Sam Tyrer to become retail director for the UK division, after five years at the retailer.
At present managing director for online solutions, Tyrer will take responsibility for the retailer’s 794 stores and contact centres when she begins her new role this month.
Carphone Warehouse UK and Ireland managing director Matt Stringer said: “Sam is an experienced retailer with a sharp sense of commerciality. She possesses an admirable empathetic and collaborative management style.”
Tyrer added: “I am delighted to have been appointed to the role of retail director and am genuinely excited and looking forward to working with my talented teams to ensure that Carphone Warehouse gives every one of our customers the very best possible experience.”
