Blacks Leisure finance director Marc Lombardo is to the leave the retailer at the end of this year.

Lombardo, who took up the role in August 2008, leaves as new Blacks chief executive Julia Reynolds gets down to the task of turning around the outdoor goods specialist.

He is taking up an as yet undisclosed role at another company and will leave Blacks on December 16. A successor is being sought.

Lombardo said: “The end of the year feels like the right time to move on to a new challenge once Julia Reynolds is well established in the business.”

Blacks chairman Peter Williams thanked Lombard for his contribution and said: “Marc has helped steer Blacks through some challenging times in retail. I wish him every success in his new role.”
