House of Fraser director gets into books
Ottakar's has appointed David Adams as a non-executive director. He will become chairman of the board's audit committee, replacing Mark Fane, who remains on the board. Adams is presently group finance director and deputy chief executive of House of Fraser, and a non executive director of Eidos.

Adams will assist the board in the process of recruiting the replacement for Edward Knighton as finance director. Helen Dance has been appointed acting finance director until a permanent replacement has been found.

Ottakar's chairman Philip Dunne said: 'I am delighted David Adams is joining the board of Ottakar's. He brings considerable senior experience of the retail sector. I am sure he will make a substantial contribution to driving the company forward for the next stage in our growth.'
