Planet Retail is combining with US-based company Retail Net Group to offer customers a wider portfolio of intelligence and analytics.

At Planet Retail we’ve been helping retailers and suppliers optimise their global sales for 20 years now. Through our forecast modelling, analytics and insights we balance one eye on today and one eye on the future.

The world of global retail also continues to undergo seismic shifts; whether that’s the recent tie-up between Ahold and Delhaize, the seemingly unstoppable rise of discount and small-format retail, and the transformational impact that technology and particularly mobile is having on our industry.

As a result our insight, support and advice is more in demand than ever before, and so it is for this reason that we are combining Planet Retail with a US-based consulting company Retail Net Group. This combination gives us far greater reach and scale in the largest retail market to support our customers’ domestic and international strategies.

Furthermore, our joint customers will be able to take advantage of a far wider portfolio of intelligence and analytics as well as benefiting from a very strong US team.

Our joint company will offer deep local market knowledge and global reach and scale from our offices in London, Boston, Frankfurt, Mumbai and Hong Kong. I’m also excited about being able to combine the expertise of the RNG team, with their unique knowledge of the US market and valued expertise in areas such as executive education, delivered through prestigious universities including UCLA California and Harvard.
