Whole Foods Market has launched an online grocery offer in the UK.

The US grocer – which has its flagship store in Kensington in London – has launched a web shop offering ranges such as hampers and fruit baskets, available for delivery to customers’ doors.

The grocer said on the site that delivery is available anywhere in the UK within 2-3 days of order.

Hampers available on the site include Allegro Coffee Break for £13.99, Salmon & Champagne at £94.99 and Healthy & Wholesome for £150.00.

It also stocks health and beauty gift sets such as Rose Mini’s Gift Set at £8.99 or REN Rose Trio at £49.99. Wine and spirit baskets are also stocked, including a Luxury Wine Box for £199.99.

Whole Foods – which has five stores in the UK – has suffered since it opened in London as the country plunged into recession and had little appetite for high priced organic food.

However, Whole Foods chief executive John Mackey said the Kensington store reported double-digit like-for-like sales in its first quarter to January 17.
