Pinstripe Clothing, the parent company of young fashion website Boohoo.com, experienced a profits jump last year as sales topped £24.5m in 2011.

Pre-tax profits climbed from £77,000 to £139,000 during the year while sales shot up by 85%.

According to reports filed at Companies House, the growth was aided “through increasing its customer base, its range of product lines and product depth”.

Director Mahmud Kamani said the main focus for the company was to continue its growth through trying to attract new customers and then growing the company’s infrastructure to serve the new customers.

He added: “Significant investment in its customer service and warehouse staffing has enabled the company to provide an efficient and effective service that the customer has been able to benefit from.”
